“Baqiyāt al-Ṣāliḥāt” is a Qur’anic term meaning the good deeds whose reward remains for a person in the Hereafter. This expression appears in two verses of the Holy Qur’an, and other verses also relate to this concept. In common Muslim usage, Baqiyāt al-Ṣāliḥāt refers more specifically to public-benefit acts whose blessings continue even after a person’s death.
Baqiyāt al-Ṣāliḥāt are righteous deeds preserved with God, bringing gratitude and great reward from Him. Based on this definition, Baqiyāt al-Ṣāliḥāt includes all good acts whose benefits endure after a person, or a good tradition one establishes that people continue to practice.
